According to Martin Luther King Jr. “Life’s most urgent question: What are you doing for others?”
The question was answered by the Medical and health Comunity Development Service (CDS) group in Ikom as they conducts free medical test for the people of Adijinkpo community in Ikom LGA of Cross Rivers State.
The medical test include: eye test, blood sugar test, Malaria test, HIV test and Blood pressure (BP test) was conducted by a team of medical corp members serving at Ikom LGA Cross River State.
In his address to the people of Adijinkpo community, the president of the CDS group Tobias Agada remind and informed the people the need for regular check up.
Similarly, the Vice president of the group Osang Blessing advised the people to desist from self medication and urged them to always seek medical attention.
Chukwu Ugochi an optometrist who was among the team of the medical corp members informed the people on the need for regular eye check up.
She also advised them to desist from putting breast milk or other harmful substance in the eye.
Responding to the visit, the Village head thanked the CDS group for finding their community worthy for the medical check up.
He prayed that God who gave them the initiative should continue to guild and protect them.
Some of the beneficiaries of the medical test could not contain his joy.
One of the beneficiary said the he have been trying to know his sugar level but because of money he has not done so.
He thanked the Corp members for their selfless service and also thanked the Federal government for introducing the scheme.
Other corp members among the team includes: Amaefulu Stanly, Agwu Edna, Akinloye Anuoluwapo, Ayang Janet, Victoria Ogar, Joseph Bassey, Rita Julius and Amu Lawrence among others.
